1st meeting: 7 January 2014

What did we do?
1) We formed our own groups
2) We discussed on which topic to do.
3) We received the PDF files and the links to visit. 
4) We were asked to choose a topic from the websites and formulate questions 
(Individually which is posted on the blog)

2nd meeting: 14 January 2014

What did we do?
1) We were shown a project by a ordinary college student, and were motivated to not take this as a normal project but as a test to challenge ourselves.
2) We formulated more questions based on the temporary topic chosen. 
3) We were asked to add in the required tabs for the blog. 
4) We were asked to reflect on the topic chosen (temporary one)
5) We were told to finalise our topic.

3rd meeting: 21 January 2014

Meeting Minutes:
1.20pm to 1.30pm: Brainstorming even more topics on a mindmap. 
1.31pm to 1.45pm: Sharing of ideas, what we thought was a big problem to the world and why. 
1.46pm to 2pm: Deciding on the topic, weighing the pros and cons
2.01pm to 2.15pm: We finally made a decision and started searching the web in order to find out more about it
2.16pm to 2.31pm: As we searched the information, we gave a brief introduction to the topic on the blog (Introduction Tab)
2.32pm to 2.44pm: We downloaded the required documents from the Interdisciplinary Research Studies tab on the Googlesite.

4th meeting: 22 January 2014

What did we do?
1) We were briefed on how to do a proper literature review. 
2) We were told to create a mindmap for the literature review
3) This was an individual task and each group member had to contribute something. 
4) We were told on the importance of literature reviews and the laws of plagiarism was also reinforced during the lesson. 
5) Guiding questions were given to us for us to see whether we had all the information or not. 

5th meeting: 28 January 2014

What did we do?
1) We were briefed on what to do for the literature review. 
2) We were told the aspects we needed to have for the research proposal. 
3) The deadlines was made known to us and that we had to be on track with our work. 
4) We were shown a sample Bibliography and research report by Mr Lim himself!
5) We were were told to re-categorise our mind maps for the Literature Review. 
6) We discussed on how to refine our research topic, how our approach to the crowd would be. 

6th meeting: 28 January 2014

Meeting minutes:
2.40pm to 2.50pm: We assigned the specific sections each one of us were to do for the research justification. 
2.51pm to 2.55pm: We discussed on what to do and how we should do it. 
2.56pm to 2.58pm: We chattered about the research schedule and how we should go about it. 
2.59pm to 2.59pm (45 seconds): We set the deadline that we wanted to accomplish it. (before the actual deadline so that we should do some touch-ups)

7th meeting: 4 February 2014

What did we do?
1) We got constructive feedback from Mr Lim regarding the Research Proposal. 
2) We were asked to change it and make it more realistic (instead of having the research in other countries, due to inconvenience) 
3) We refined your Research Proposal and discussed about how we might improve it. 
4) We tried to narrow the topic that we chose (to be more specific, concise)
5) We made it more detailed and self-explanatory. 

8th meeting: 11 February 2014

What did we do?
1) We were instructed to download the survey/interview guidelines from the SST Googlesite. 
2) We were told that we needed to conduct surveys/interviews to aid us in our research project. 
3) We came up with survey and interview questions for the people. 
4) We created an online google form, with all the interview questions inside. (open-ended and close-ended)
5) We wrote down the reasons on why we chose to ask these questions. (to show what the motive was in asking it) 
6) We further updated our Research Proposal. (Literature Review and Research Schedule)
7) We proceeded into emailing Mr Lim for his opinions towards our survey, before sending it out. 

9th meeting: 18 February 2014

1) We sent out our surveys. 
2) We managed to consolidate the information we have gotten from the Research Justification. 
3) We started our survey analysis. 
4) We further refined the questions. 

10th meeting: 25 February 2014

1) We talked about the presentation that will be conducted in Term 2. 
2) Using the visualiser, we watched a show by TED. 
3) We had a practical session. 
4) We were given tips on how to be a good presenter/make a good presentation
5) The deadline for the presentation was made known to us (Term 2 Week 2)

11th meeting: 4 March 2014

What did we do?
1) We talked about the presentation that will be conducted in Term 2. 
2) We discussed among ourselves how we were going to do it etc
3) We gave out more of our surveys 
4) We started to prepare to get the water samples 

12th meeting: 10 March 2014

Time: 2.45pm to 3.15pm

Minutes of meeting:
2.45pm to 2.55pm: We went to the Biology lab to borrow the equipment needed for water testing 
2.56pm to 3.10pm: We began testing out the water for nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen etc with the aid of data loggers
3.11pm to 3.14pm: We discussed on how to split the work and only managed to finish the water from the West. Not to worry, we are going to test the rest on another day.

13th meeting: 11 March 2014

12.30pm to 12.50pm: Discussed on what to do for oral presentation 
12.51pm to 1.10pm: Water quality analysis
1.11pm to 1.26pm: Focused on what could be recommended in order for the problem to be solved
1.27pm to 1.29pm: Delegated the tasks for each member (to complete the blog)

15th meeting: 27 March 2014

What did we do? 
1) We did another status update to Mr Lim. 
2) The dates for oral presentation and the completion of the blog were reinforced to us. 
3) We needed to print the Interdisciplinary Research Studies rubrics. (for oral presentation)
4) For my group, we were told how to do the Bibliography tab properly!
5) The conclusion needed to be linked back to the theme (which we have already), more refinement could be included. 
6) More recommendations were added.
7) Oral presentation was three-quarter done. 

16th meeting: 3 April 2014
Venue: S2-09 Classroom 
Time: During IRS lesson

What did we do?
1) We were given 5 minutes to gather in our groups to prepare for the presentation 
2) We were then asked to choose a country on the visualiser (to determine when we would present)
3) Group A was the third to present. 
4) The presentations then started! 
5) Group E was supposed to go first but due to unforeseen circumstances, they were short of one member, thus, Group B went up first. 
6) After Group B had presented, we were given about 5 to 7 minutes to ask whatever questions we had on their presentation. 
7) Only Group B presented that day and, as for the rest of us, we would be presenting on 10 April 2014. 
8) Mr Lim reminded us each presentation should only take up to 8 minutes and by next week, we would need to finish up the blog. 

17th meeting: 10 April 2014
Venue: S2-09 Classroom

What did we do?
1) We listened to Group E's presentation on fare hikes. 
2) We were then up next for presentation. 
3) We presented on our research topic and our recommendations in rode to improve the current situation. 
4) A question and answer session surfaced up, bombarding us with questions. 
5) Mr Lim gave our group some feedback on the presentation. 
6) He then reminded us to do the peer assessment and individual reflection before the next IRS lesson. 
7) Lastly, the deadline for the blog would be on Monday, 14 April 2014, 2359.
